Just had a heavy hail shower up here. Temperature is down to 6C (after spiking to 9C). No sleet or graupel.

Had a pure hail shower here an hour ago.
Nice and sunny at the moment, don't expect much here as things are going SE. Plenty of showers but very localized totals. Dams fairing well today.

7mm last night from 2 Heavy showers around 2am and 4am
Nothing at all today cold and Sunny,
Lows out east are never good for West and Central Vic but be nice to see Gippy and the mounts get some good falls, hopefully good falls also fall in the Ne to.
Very much a change of pattern again this week will be interesting to see what we get after this system moves though.

Some great looking showers starting to wrap around through south Gippsland into central areas. Suspect these mark the wind change (between SE and SW winds). Should be into Melbourne in 1-2 hours near peak solar heating time.
Getting persistent showers up here but nothing significant since the heavy hail showers.

DJ, seems to me the cold temps of the bay are impacting any development. Once they hit land, they seem to quickly develop.
Re: Victoria: (Possible) Low Pressure System and Thunderstorm Outbreak. October 4th-9th 2009
There are some very nice looking clouds in the bay now.

No real increase in showers that I can see currently although solid rainfall over Upper Yarra since midday and still going.
Showers will break up in the bay.
What a lovely day here - what showers

It is looking promising out there. I can see some well-defined towers around Mulgrave area (you may get something). You may be right about the bay, doesn't look quite as good as before, although it is grey and there is a bit of precip down there.

Is all skimming to the south east of where I am atm, but it is hitting home. Mum confirmed small hail and intense chilly outflow. Haha. Looks nice from where I am though.

Lovely roll of thunder, it's all pretty much skirted just slightly west of here, you should be getting some of this though Karl. We only had a few minutes of light rain with a little hail and that's it. Looks to be a bit more heading this way from the south now though

View from my roof in rowville is spectacular. Lots of dark clouds to my west and north, seems to be building as it goes over my head. Still a lot of structure to my south, so as far as rain and hail is concerned i dont think its over yet. Heard a few rumbles earlier, but no visuals from my vantage point.

I had a look at the radar and wow this is impressive, lot of rain and all going the right way might be interesting indeed tonight. Great view as well in the CBD though there certainly is not much happening in the city.

Barely a mm here for this system.. Never talking a system up again. Yeah its okay and some of the dams have done well but always a reason why this part of town screws up now its cos of the "Cold Bay" so we have the Northerly rainshadow, the Westerly dries up now the Cold southerly bay where showers fade and die until they develop well over land again. By the time the bay has the reverse effect and bay stream showers develop tonight the airstream be to SSE and to West of me seriously I can't win around here

But for some reason the showers off the surf coast near Point Lonsdale are firing up over the ocean there as they approach the coast I don't know why they are there but not over the bay. This area is cursed.
