Karls right....lets not get ahead of ourselves..models indicate stable weather until the 10th.
We could get 20 days of rain after that..

Bit of drizzle overnight in the hills with 0.4mm. Had a good shower just after leaving home so might have added another 0.2mm. Bit better up the hill with 1mm so far at Mt Dandenong and a few mm out in the catchments Next 24 hours should see a bit more to keep things from drying out.
BTW lets move the climate talk to the climate area https://planetweather.forumotion.net/climatology-f4/ . Appreciate some people are a tad annoyed because they missed out, but that is just the weather.
Finally, RE missing post - might not be a factor - but I've found using VPN can cause problems across many blogs. It seems to scramble you ID. The other thing is networks dropping out - particularly a problem with ADSL or wireless in the bush.

Misty stuff yesterday afternoon. Damp air about now, was looking pretty black a few minutes ago.
Washing is out with the hope of some rain.
Tanks at 3/4, about to turn toilets back to melb water, leaving all 6 outside taps of tank water for garden.
Re site problems. I have cable and have had refresh problems, get a page with all this computer jargon stuff, been happening a lot recently.

We ended the event with 6mm at Mansfield. A little disappointed but we did get that great storm on Monday night.
I took some footage of it on my Flip, edited it down :

Great thread and a really interesting event. Hope we get more of them, for more of us during summer.

Nice Blackie
Remained mostly dry here, just a light shower which cleared. Mostly cloudy as well with temps around 18 degrees, though felt much cooler at times. Bring on the warmer weather...

Cheers Guys...certainly was a memorable one.
Drove to Kyneton for the Cup today and was amazed how moist and verdant the local area is ATM. The track was like a manicured lawn!

Another dribble of 0.4mm for us overnight, pretty widespread light falls across the south but nothing above 3mm.
Event total looks to have finished on about 45mm.

Hi, this is sort of related to this topic because I noticed that windyrob has an avatar that I think was taken on Friday night the 30th October over the city. The reason I bring this up is because it looked very familiar to me and so I looked through my pics from that awesome night and realised we captured the same bolts from a very similar angle. The only difference is the city buildings and the tops of the illumiated cloud base but the bolts and many cloud formations are the same. See me shot below:
Im assuming Windyrob that you were in the northern suburbs or outskirts of Melbourne to take that shot? A pretty cool coincidence to get the same bolt and the same angle
Brad.

very nice capture Brad!
Seems like a distant memory now after the shift towards fine and hot weather.

Thanks Blackie, I got a few good shots that night to make up for being so far from the action
Yes I agree it has been a marked contrast since then until this current event.
