Ours was that big but it ended up glaciating further than that level (perhaps the LA one has also but the view is obscuring the glaciation).
Significant winds and heat to continue in the region the next fews days, a bit of a breather today but serious conditions there!!!

The fires are burning above Pasadena which has forecasts at http://www.wunderground.com/US/CA/Pasadena.html . Looks like one more really hot day then cooling off.
Is hard to make sense of their weather as there is so much local variations - often 10-20C and sometimes even more between the coast and the foothills as the off shore waters are rather cold this time of year.
