Re: Victorian City/Town Weather Forecasts Forum Style.
Am I right in thinking that a high will park itself over southern Victoria next Sunday? If that's the case, it will be a very cold morning next sunday morning to a fine day.
I have started looking at the GFS maps from the Brisbane Stormchasers site so I can get a better feel to forecasts, and understand them, from the site the forecast maps I look at have the title,
GFS Forecast for 06Z Sat, 10th October. 2009
Can someone please explain to me what the 06Z means? Am I to correctly guess that it means 06.00GMT, which would make it 4pm EST (5pm daylight saving time)?

Yes, that's correct.
I think the rainfall is for the 24hr period prior to the time stated although others will correct me if I'm wrong
