Cameras - What do you use. Advice required!
Hi gang,
I am in the market for a decent camera, an SLR. I would love to hear what type of camera/s you have, especially for capturing lightning and other moving objects (V8 supercars, F1 etc). I don't need top of the range but any info and advice would be great!
Many thanks in advance!

Hi Sniper,
I have a Canon EOS 50D and a 40D (which has been at the camera repair shop for 5 months ). I find that the 50D has a noise problem so if I had known that would probably have gone to the Canon 5D except that's a lot more expensive and now been superceded by the Canon 7D. I find the Canon very good for capturing car action. Have never done any lightning pics tho, must try them There seems to be a bit of a Canon vs Nikon mentality with photographers which IMHO is a bit silly like the Ford vs Holden in V8 supercars

Thats good to know about the 50d Robyn, although not that you have found a problem with it, I nearly bought one when you got it, I am getting close to upgrading I would have just gone and got the 50d.
Sniper. I have the Canon EOS350D that I got few years back, I have been overly Impressed with this camera, specially with the price they are at now. Although some of the outstanding pics you see arnt always straight from the camera, the final processing can just make the shot, can some of the other guys give away there little secrets.??
The camera I have doesnt have live view on the back so Im finding it hard to focus at night, if Im at home its ok as i plug in upload check the focus and start all over, but if you were out there is the chance of the brilliant shot being out of focus, any tips..? maybe its that I need my eyes checked. Interested to hear what cameras others are using also.
