Looking nice for the Yarrawonga radar, hope the dong gets the goods
Hinezy's fretting here at the bom training centre, some nice solid precip. though
How's the hail going for some?

Moderate steady rain here in the southern Dandenongs now. Was briefly heavy, but never lasted. 3mm and rising. Nice thick fog as well and almost calm.

Temperature is down to a more winter like 7C Razz

Wouldn't be surprised to see the follow-up band thicken when it hits the bayside. Just a hunch - but could be another dose of lighter stuff after the first band.

geeze, no sta for the Dong. It's been a magnet Brayden. The northern border has been an absolute coo in terms of storm development for frontal systems in recent months.

I have just on 10mm here too SC so I am surprised that the AWS sites aren't picking up the rainfall as well scratch

Anyhow still moderate rainfall here - can see it going for another hour or so.

Then the showers. Looks good for most suburbs, particularly in east and CBD.

4mm here so far disappointing considering the potential. Damn cold day though. Wind at the moment has gone. Very cold night coming up.

5mm recorded out of this afternoon' activity.
Great radar sequence an hour ago with the rain band travelling W-E and the change heading SW.

Is it just me, but when you go back from the Melbourne radar (or any radar) it goes to the BOM Home page, not back to the radar home page?

Has been raining here for nearly 4 hours straight but has been really light since the first rain band past.

Finally I can report on some rainfall! Tarneit had pretty much consistent rainfall from about 1.30 to after 6. Can't tell you how much rain fell there. But I guess a few mm, so it was awesome!

Back down in Sandy Point where there was nearly 0mm today Razz - don't know the exact total but certainly less than 1mm. Was wet all the way to about Fish Creek then turned much drier. About 10mm in Ferny Creek (was running 2-3mm ahead of the AWS when I left hope).

Has the potential to be a very productive 12 hours in the eastern burbs/Yarra Ranges/catchments with a decent cold pool moving through with a nice cyclonic curvature max (these together detablise the atmosphere and then stretch it firing showers off). Could well see 25mm by morning in Ferny Creek (but won't be around to report Smile ).

Good to see some rain shared around...

I will let you know how my sister goes up in Monbulk if that is any consolation Razz

Just on 12mm here so far and showers not far.

I would love 20-30mm out here, just to tie us over. Now if the systems next week can get they're act together!!!

What a beauty of a day here guys; mostly cloudy with persistent rainfall. Not sure how much rain since 9am but I think it will be be quite a bit, and it is still raining. We started off with rain and thunder last night and that amounted to 4.2mm of rainfall. No storms here today but glad to see them elsewhere. Fairly fresh winds here too last night and this morning, and the odd gust through the day, particularly tonight. Some cold air tonight too.

Regarding thunderstorms, I think we could see them re-fire up on Saturday/Sunday approaching, particularly in the west.

Yeh, i'm looking forward to seeing what'll happen aswell.

There was quite a bit of rain today though. Around 3.6mm in my area, was pretty good considering the rain always dies out and then builds up again when it hits my area.

Only 2.7mm here, just too far north. New Gisborne got over 4mm and 6mm at Toolern Vale. Still a few rogue showers about. Looks like the CBD and western suburbs didn't miss out this time.

Yeah, it's looking good Blackie!!
Main/thick band seems to be stalling on the fringe of the bay.
Our Western Suburb friends will be enjoying this!! Cool
