Re: Welcome to the Australian Weather Forum.
Welcome Dennis and spread the news. This forums has started with people keen to talk, observe, and complain about the weather.
Hi All from Kerang/Cohuna area!
Thanks Johnoo for the invite to join up here, looks like it will be a fun and informative place to hang out.
My name is Ron (you can work out the surname from my username). I live in Kerang on the edge of the Mallee and work in Cohuna 33km to the east where my wife and I own the local Post Office. My interest in all things weather related has arisen out of necessity like all who live in the drought ravaged areas of SE Australia. Hope to be able to make a contribution from this area from time to time.
Cheers, Ron.
Edit: Oops, should have clicked on "reply" to the welcome thread, please feel free to move this post there.

Yes Karl, things are greening up nicely up this way with the slow accumulation which began from about Anzac day onwards. Just under 80 mm in Cohuna since then. Certainly a promising start to the agricultural season and I feel it in me bones that a "big one" is due very soon as well.

Re: Welcome to the Australian Weather Forum.
Hello all our new weather friends!!! Welcome aboard.
I have missed everyone greatly and I hope you stop in time to time. I understand with WZ being a larger community that people have a stronger connection there, but I hope over time you will learn to love this place just as much. This is a temp site and a new one is going to be constructed with more features in the future.
Lots of weather to talk about in the next few days so come on in and do what you do best and talk about weather!!
Karl

Re: Welcome to the Australian Weather Forum.
Evening all,
Firstly, Johnoo, thanks for the "heads-up" about this!!
Secondly, Karl, great to know that you haven't fallen off the face of the earth.
Congrats on the set-up, dont stress about the layout etc, it is very user friendly as I have used an replica forum at Lake Eildon.com
I look forward to in-depth analysis of the upcoming weather systems, something I have missed over the past few months.
Time to explore the other part of the forum.
Cheers

Re: Welcome to the Australian Weather Forum.
I wish it was my forum mate. Phil is the heart & soul of the forum. Some great info on their, in particular Lake heights and a weekly summary.
I will be looking at getting some of this information into a thread on here...

Re: Welcome to the Australian Weather Forum.
That would be great especially if the rains continue. Fingers crossed they do!!!
And A VERY BIG THANKYOU TO ROBYN LAKE (Rivergirl) for helping me get this whole site going. Without her input and time (which I lacked greatly) this would not be up and running as such!!! :

Re: Welcome to the Australian Weather Forum.
Thanks so much Karl. It was a pleasure to help out with your own forum. You were greatly missed at WZ by a lot of people. It's also wonderful to have Hillybilly and others onboard that have left or been banned in the past. Welcome to all the latest members There aren't any hard and fast rules here, just have fun, respect each other's opinions and play nice
Re: Welcome to the Australian Weather Forum.
There are so many awesome people joining now. This is great. I have missed you all too, considering the life just went out of the WZ ones generally as soon as Karl was gone... Its feels like a reunion of some kind Welcome to everyone... And to a great second half of the year.
