I think I will be the last one standing here...alas...this is the nature of weather...
Goodnight to those dropping off.
I think it deserves another hour.

Just stepped outside to see if there are any distant flashes, and got a nice warm NW breeze. Hope there is enough energy around to kick something off in central areas...

If your looking at the radar you will notice the storms and showers with the intensive cores are moving more east than south while the showers behind the trough are moving south more than east. If that makes sense at this time
Anyhow can see lightning to the west and southwest.
I expect Kyenton to explode soon and head closer to the CBD.

Nice black core going through Blackwood presently. Showers building off the ranges. Now they have to survive :O

Well it weakened but there is quite a few echoes over the NNW of us. So I suspect what Geelong is having presently may occur over us by 3am.

Re: Follow up rain-storms Nov 26-29th.
Just got back from my little chase. First ended up near the wind farm on HWY B220, nw of Ballarat. Looked great as the initial line came through. Very active, good guster on it. Not alot of rain up until the very last minutem which i was surprised. Strong inflow sucking into the line, then the rain intensified and i can see on the radar loops where it took off at Ballarat when the outflow took over. I made a call to high tail it back to Melb to try and get ahead of it. I was sitting on 110km all the way back but it was only until i got to Bacs Marsh that i got out of the rain. Then took a turn towards Werribee and headed for Point Cook, where i was shrouded by rain once more, with constant cc's above. I took cover in one of the shack verandahs for about 10mins, didn't bother taking out the cam at this stage, too much swirling rain around. Saw some great rain wrapped cgs hit the water, the deep thunder...nice.
The line as it approached. Probably strikes every 5 secs i'd say.
Always wanted to do a funny portrait like this, and nailed it in one shot.... more fluke than skill. Held a torch to my face, then waited for something close infront of the car / or behind me. I could see the end of the branch crawler above me and thought that it might have been in the frame..... turned out to be right above the car, you little ripper!
Big thanks to Hinzey and Andy Wall from Adelaide for giving me updates.

Many thanks team.
I'm struggling, just hanging out for one more line to to develop, enough to drag me outdoors again.

I am a bit the same Greg. I cannot go to bed knowing there is a STW out and red cores about...
The wind change is presently Gisborne to Queenscliffe and moving east on Dopplar.

Keep an eye to the north now. These should make it. Just got to get it off the ranges first. A few orange and red cores developing.
Wind change will help lift the cells.
Yes Wes. Probably 10 pages from me

i think the issue is that we haven't had it this good for quite a while, back to back systems, i think we try to make the most of it.
