Re: Follow up rain-storms Nov 26-29th.
Should be up again in an hour James
Yeah it is certainly developing, now we need to push this rain south and get into the storm potential. Not much rain here for the east as the tilting is really tight closer into Melbourne currently - but it will come!!
1mm here.
Noone should call it a fizzer until it is over. How can you call it that when there is more coming??

Karl do you think there will be much behind the band that is near Heathcote now for Eastern subs in the next couple of hours?

Karl, I was calling what came through a fizzer....it looked amazing as it was approaching but as I said no thunder, lightning (apart from one that I saw that was hitting Geelong) and light rain. What hit us was a fizzer.
Cant comment on whats to come yet!

Yes that area of convergence west of Melbourne spawning scattered showers and thunderstorms will contract slowly east over the coming 2 hours.
Might even tend to rain periods.
Yes a fizzer for parts of Melbourne but overall it rained here and so I can't call it that, but the weather is relative to everyones tastes

Re: Follow up rain-storms Nov 26-29th.
We seem to be in that North west dry slot thats slightly opened up, I'm not really expecting anything more tonight. Yep, this one pretty disappointing for our area but hey, I might be proven wrong. Things are still pretty unstable out there.

Yes the western suburbs can expect a band of storms, particularly heavy rain and flash flooding potential. Colac has had around 30mm in the last hour or so.
Loving the small scale trough coming around the low!!!

Re: Follow up rain-storms Nov 26-29th.
Excellent DD that will make the region happy and the gardens for that matter. You could get another 10mm too.
I would keep an eye on that cold air field still moving into E SA. I have repeated it a few times tonight but should be in central areas by 8-10am and this could start to increase with diurnal heating.
That 'comma' coming through the Bight is something to be watched later today.
