Fantastic photos Hamlan! Why didn't I think of Mt Cooper - it's only a 15 minute drive from me! Next time me thinks!

Sensational photos everyone!!
I'm terribly envious. I was in Sydney last night and completely missed all of it, so keeping my fingers crossed for something this arvo/tonight.
15mm yesterday, 34.3C according to local PWS....my weather station is still in a box, but hope to have it up again very shortly!

Well, Hawthorn was the epicentre of that freak storm and rain in January, 2004. Would love a repeat of last night, if only it lasted longer.

I have a very interesting line developing to my East over Pakenham and beyond.
Personally, I doubt we will have a repeat of last nights events. Humidity is a little too low for my liking. I agree with Karl, one of the best storms in 5 years.

33c out here at Pakenham atm. Nice bank of cloud just to my east and growing.
Re: Victoria: Thunderstorm Outbreak. October 28th-November 3rd 2009
That line is forming from the mid level AccAs sequence which is snapped a few pages back.
No southerly here yet and 34C. Something has to give surely!!!!

Can hear a few distant rumbles here and inching closer. Sea breeze may still kill it off. But fingers crossed.

All that cloud that looked promising earlier, haa all but disappeared. Mostly clear again here, surely the southerlies just pushed the drier air up into the atmosphere.

Still no southerly here over 3 hrs after Moorabbin had it come through. That may come into play later.
Cj to the north and west of me, still trying to go for it... It is not over yet.
Just something tells me wait wait wait...I don't want to wait.

Need to get your eyes checked Jake? LOL
Interesting though, that the temps has only dropped to 28 here, not as cool as the city or other places where the change hit.

Well the optimist in me says there may be showers at least starting to fire around the Donald-Birchip area, but the realist in me says I also need to get my eyes checked. Almost gotton to the stage thatI'm trying to find something out of nothing.
