Haha nice picture Luken. I hope that you can catch most of the drops!
You guys must be getting belted around, we have been rather lucky so far I guess.

Oh Luken you poor bugger!!!

Lightning tracker has died off a bit since the last hour, however active cells are beginning to encroach the state. That band is mighty juicy, Western areas are sure to do well..

Luke our sun room is reflective of that!!! Your poor thing and you were under the heavy stuff to like me!!!
David thanks for the totals down there, that confirms the conditions I had. You must of had the exact burst of rain about 20 minutes ago which just fanged down. The rain is super thick out there still and reflections on radar are not accurate right now with the atmosphere saturated.
39mm here and steady rainfall. Surprisingly the ground has drunk the flash flooding just like that!!!

Luckily just the sun room. All the expensive stuff is at the other end of the room.

Gee that rain is flying through SA, I don't think it will take too long to get here. I would say the heavy stuff will start here at 5am. What do you guys think?

Looking like it is coming down straight through the Kilmore gap toward here. Hope the towels and buckets last the night!
Re: Victoria: Broad area of low pressure - November 19th-25th 2009.
About 4-6am should start to develop over C VIC.
In the meantime this band will flatten out further and slowly contract south introducing NE winds throughout.
Watch the next rainband developing over Woomera back in SA in the shape of thunderstorms. This should stackup onto the back of the rain presently moving through E SA.
Could see 20-40mm in NW VIC and over the Wimmera.

Heavy burst again here!!!
41mm now and rising...unreal rainfall across parts of the central region tonight. The band is though becoming more general rainfall so the flash flooding risk to me has subsided for the time being.

OMG, I am in shock. Went out for tea tonight. Left with nothing in the tank and only moments ago returned to 28mm. Great falls around this part of the world with a number above 25mm being recorded @ 11pm.
Re: Victoria: Broad area of low pressure - November 19th-25th 2009.
Thats amazing!!! Only 21mm being the highest for the year...my goodness that is bad.. well let us hope we can make it 40mm by 9am.
Rain has eased to drizzle here as we prepare for thundery rain in the west. Orange and red cells within the band...

3.6mm at Rosslynne Reservoir, 54mm at Bullengarook. Here are these totals displayed on Google Earth. Just 10km between these two locations. Talk about isolated rainfall.
Similarly we've got about 5.5mm here and apparently 14mm at Mount Macedon MW station. I tell you what, the main rain better come overnight or I'll be absolutely shattered. Probably won't be able to post for a while I'll be so upset. This rain we are supposed to get is so important to us after the crazy record breaking heatwave and right on the edge of the official summer period with the bushfire season starting. Also still heading towards the driest year on record or at least very close if December rain fails.

He has mentioned many times that he is from Endeavour Hills.
Andrew that is a great map thanks for posting that up. Love that we can do that on this forum!!!
Drizzle still falling here and NE winds starting so now we wait for the ever expanding band of thundery rain. Very lightning active in Mildura right now.

well looks like the heaviest rain has now moved to the south, with only light drizzle to the north. All up I have 22.4mm so far which is amazing! I am sure this will increase further overnight, but I am tired and am going to bed!
For those interested in following the rainfall here....check this site! It's great for our little area!

I'll be happy with 20mm now. Hopes for more than that have been dashed I reckon. 20mm would at least moisten things up again and maybe another event next week. Seriously, weather can make you go crazy sometimes, it is so fickle around here.
