Quite lightning active that cell to the WSW of here, flash about every ten seconds, another cell closer to me and south of me not very active but just heard a distant rumble from it

Rikki is out in the Bendigo shire and is reporting violent winds with the storm complex out there. Photo and report to come.
I think this line will also regenerate over the bay and CBD. It is slowing down gradually.

It's getting pretty awesome now, winds picking up, constant flashes and CC lightning in the near distance. A few huge drops hit my face. It seems to be breaking though up as it hits the mountain as it often does.

Things are developing around this area again so you guys to my sth-east should do well again. Had a small storm earlier but enough to make it even more humid.

Yeah it appears to be breaking up but cells developing randomly within the other complexes so I wouldn't rule anything out yet!!
Storms developing behind this band are moving SE.

Gee what a fizzer that was! More development behind so another shot perhaps at something worthwhile developing but aside from that just a minute or two of heavy rain and 5 minutes of moderate rain and now it's stopped. Constant flashes of lightning 100% CC no ground strikes at all and only weak thunder. Down to 15.9C now so the cool air is flooding in.

Damn, the best stuff is heading North of me this time. However, still quite a bit of lightning and thunder here as it approaches.

"We currently have a cell showing red on BOM 128radar to our immediate NW but no rumbles and can see clear to the W under it.
That new Bairnsdale radar obviously still needs a bit of tweaking. "..................
As it turned out the thunderless cell about 1km diameter decided to shed some rain around 90mins ago. Directly above, we got 4mm in about 30 mins. Nice- but no storm associated.
Now we have to wait and see if the storms W of Melb can make it this far - low chance going by last night but I'll keep an eye open.
Still calm and balmy 24C out at Maffra, now should I open another beer or not?

This next band of activity looks interesting. Almost perpendicular to the main line and streaming in level to my area. Just got some better lightning and thunder as it passed south with a few loud booms and deep rumbles. Still all CC though.

This system has a kick to it, just had a brief power surge, knocked out TV internet for a second or so...OK if you get plenty of rain when that happens..

Just had a louder clap of Thunder from a cell just south of here. Very active cell to the west now over the bay flashing every two or three seconds. If it holds together will probably pass just to my south.

I see that we have light easterlies (no breeze at the ground here atm - but local BOM sites are metering it) thoughout this general area, hopefully feeding into the trough, and hopefully the trough makes it this far???

Lots of rain lightning and thunder here. This is much better than last night!
Just got home too to enjoy it!
The house is lighting up every time a flash occurs! The rain has gotten heavier too!
